Takagi: That means I’m the only guy you can tell your problems to about your relationship. I’ll be your very best friend. We can work on your romance and the manga together.

Mashiro: Love is love, and manga is manga.

Takagi: Is that so?

Mashiro: Hey, don’t you need to go back to the classroom?

Takagi: I aced the test. Perfect score, I’m sure of it.

Mashiro: I don’t get it. Why do you have to study so hard if you want to become a manga artist? You don’t need to have a high educational background, you know.

Takagi: Insurance. I’m not 100 percent sure that I’ll become a manga artist either.

Mashiro: I thought so. That’s smart way to live. Do all the other guys in class look dumb to you?

Takagi: Huh?

Mashiro: Do you think you’re the smartest guy in class?

Takagi: What’s with this all of a sudden? That isn’t a very nice question.

Mashiro: Is that a yes? Do you think you need to be smart to become a manga artist?

Takagi: I do. At least, you can’t become one if you’re dumb. All right. If that’s what you meant by that question, then I’ll answer it. I don’t think getting good grades means you’re smart. But I do think that I’m the third smartest kid in our class.

Mashiro: Third? That’s very modest of you. Who are the two people smarter than you?
